Desi's life centers mainly around his high school - a gathering place for all types of problematic youngsters - and his home, where his relationship with his family has deteriorated due to his older brother's drug addiction and his father's alcoholism. Desi is not a very strong person, but in order to survive and find a comfortable place for himself. He befriends GB, a prototypical problematic youth and Paula.
