The present continuation is designed to bring the record down to the end of December, 1897. Like the preceding, this second part has been compiled by Mr. Hans M. Wilder of Philadelphia, and was passed through the press by him and the undersigned conjointly.AS is natural in a work of this kind, quite a number of matters that had appeared in the literature up to July Ist, 1896, and deserved re cording, had been overlooked in the preparation of Part I, and the same shortcoming will probably be discovered to attach to the present part.
