Spread The Gospel, Not The Gossip!

This story is about how a rumor of an untrue adulterous affair got started and it got spread from one person's mouth to many others. The story will prompt you to think of some people you are familiar with either in your church, on the job, in your neighborhood, on social media, some of your friends-and yes, even some of your own family members. Also, this story will make you think about how you too could very well be one of the characters' mentioned in this story or have played the role as one of them at some point in your life. My agenda in this story was to merely identify every form of negative talk mentioned in the Bible, some outside of it, and then create a character for each one. Also, I identified and created various groups who are like-minded with common interests and beliefs. Carefully, follow along at what occurred after the rumor got started about this alleged adulterous affair and how others joined in on spreading it. As you read along, you will see how the spiritual leader of the church was led to deal with gossip and the spreading of this rumor toward those who played a role in listening to it and broadcasting it once he was made aware of it. It was not my intent to judge or direct this at anyone in particular for the characters in this story are not actual people I know. However, you and I can think of some people who might fit well as one or some of them. Now don't be in denial to think that the one you see in the mirror may very well be one of them. This story has its moments of laughter, but my ultimate goal is for people to take seriously the words that comes out of your mouth because you don't know where it may lead to.
