The Lower Farm

Angebote / Angebote:

It was the sixties, a time of political and social upheaval, Hippies against the establishment. Young people from cities, towns, and college campuses, began protesting against the government and or involvement in Viet Nam. The music, drugs, clothes and long hair were an expression of their conscious separation from the long traditions engrained by the establishment. Young folks were trying to find themselves by honoring their bodies through health foods, by becoming in touch with their inner selves through meditation, and some needed to let go and experience life through the most potent and addicting drugs available on the streets and on college campuses. John Morabito was born and raised in the scenic Hudson Valley in New York about twenty five miles from New York City. He attended school in Peekskill and entered the military during the Viet Nam War at the age of nineteen. After completing his tour of duty in 1967, he returned to New York and briefly worked locally for General Motors. He then began his travels by hitchhiking throughout the United States during the mid sixties. He interfaced with many sects of people and experienced working in many areas of the United States which offered him the opportunity to broaden his outlook of America.
