Up to the present time, reports have n0t been published on the quarrying industry, the lime and cement industries, soils, road materials, barite and asphaltic limestone and sandstone. This report deals with the quarrying industry. It is the plan of the Bureau to follow this with report on the Lime and Cement Industries, and this in turn by other reports on resources that have not yet been investigated. Later, it will be necessary to revise and publish new editions of the special reports which we now have. These reports are thought to be the most valuable publications of the Bureau.
