The concept of "The Third Prophecy" was born in my mind when I was in severe distress in my youth, writes Kiyoshi Kobayashi. "When people suffer to the extreme, they naturally look for philosophy, higher or deeper, than the ordinary way of thinking in an effort to escape the painful feeling. I rejected the new thinking for a brief moment once in a while because it entirely went against what I had believed for all my life up to that time. Once the idea formed in my mind firmly, not even for one second have I doubted its correctness. It has grown into a beautiful way of thinking, which, I am sure, will never leave me until I die.
