This edited volume uniquely explores the extensive themes and frameworks of tourism development and investment in Bangladesh. Currently, there is very limited knowledge and research of tourism in Bangladesh even though it is a multifaceted and fast growing industry. This book is designed to accommodate both qualitative and quantitative research aligned with theory and practices. This book focuses on outlining the present investment and development scenario of Bangladesh in order to suggest some solutions to the current state. At present a large array of tourism research is available on the Caribbean and many other developing countries. However, research reflecting the tourism industry of Bangladesh so far has been under researched. Considering that Bangladesh holds a population of over 170 million the country possesses an abundance of possibilities in tourism. In recent years, Bangladesh has experienced a steady growth in its economy and socio-cultural developments. This book makes an important contribution for representing and exploring diverse aspects of tourism in Bangladesh for local and international benefit. This book provides insights of the stronghold of a social class having affordability to spend for tourism and leisure activities and as a result the country placing further attention for the development of its tourism industry. The expansion of tourism and hospitality education in the higher academic institutions in Bangladesh is evidence. This book argues that the supportive roles of the government policy are favouring the development of tourism in Bangladesh. Undeniably, this book emphasises the importance of tourism is on a continuous rise in Bangladesh that in turn deserves the appropriate attention from the academic research.
