Excerpt from 1963 Census of Manufactures: Special Report Mc63(s)-1, Manufacturing Activity in Government EstablishmentsThe mailing list for the survey was derived from the reporting panel for the 1962 Annual Survey of Manufactures, but establishments with fewer than 20 employees were excluded. The annual survey of manufactures is based on a probability sample. Data in tables 1, 2, and 3 were compiled in such a manner as to include in the tabulations in¿ated data derived by weighing the reports of smaller establishments, whereas tables 4 through 7 were compiled by adding the figures as reported.
