It embodies the sub stance (thoroughly revised) of my Introduction to the American edition of Westcott and Hort's Greek Testa ment, and several additional chapters, besides important contributions from Bishop Lee, Professor Abbot, Dr. Hall, and Professor lvarfield, which are acknowledged in the proper place. The last chapter contains a brief history and explanatory vindication of the joint work of the two Revision Companies, and fairly expresses. I believe, their general views on all essential points, with a preference for the American renderings where they differ from the English.
