So that, I reckon it needless to make any excuse for offering my Sentiments to the consideration of the Publick, after several worthy Persons of greater Learning and Abilitys have publisht Their's. When I undertook to answer Mr. Woolston's Objections against our Saviour's Miracles, I did not think myself at liberty to pick out such of them as I might reckon the most Important, and to pass over the rest, as too inconsiderable to deserve any Notice: but chose to answer every Objection from Reason or Scripture that he has urged in his Six Discourses. This has made the Conference longer than it might otherways have been. But I consider'd that Persons of the best Sense often differ in judging of the comparative force of different Objections, and of the various Answers given to them. And I was afraid that some wou'd lay great Stress upon those very Cavils that I might neglect as frivolous.
