This paper, therefore, is presented not only for the purpose of recording new forms but even more with the hope of elucidating as many as possible of species already named. From the author's viewpoint the new species, considered merely as such, are but an interesting by-product Of the study.The types Of all the new species herein described are deposited in the collection of Coccidae of the Department of Entomology of Stanford University.
