The objective was to present an overview of the sector and analyse several case studies in order to draw conclusions and make recommendations. The aim was also to highlight best practices and lessons learnt. The study builds a sketch of the sector based on the investigated examples. The study does not claim to arrive at final conclusions about all community and institutional biogas plants in Nepal. However, it presents a general overview based on several case studies.
