With her life, Faith was content. She always knew what she was going to do next since she had a clear strategy. Without any prior training, she has suddenly taken on the roles of legal guardian, adult, and leader of the household. Faith sells her home and relocates with her sister to the small town of Blackstone in search of peace and normalcy because she needs a break from the endlessly pathetic looks and rumours.
Yet when she settles in, she catches William's attention right away, who she is embarrassed to confess is more interested in her than she should be. She also observes that everyone in Blackstone seems a little... strange, which makes her wonder if she is indeed in a regular area.
She is abruptly thrust into a situation that makes her doubt her sanity and leaves her unsure of whom to trust or where to turn.
