Psoriasiform dermatitis refers to a group of disorders which clinically and/or histologically, simulates psoriasis. Psoriasis is the oldest of all recorded dermatological disorders. Literally, psoriasiform means "like or in the shape of psoriasis". Histopathologically, the psoriasiform reaction pattern is defined as the presence of epidermal hyperplasia with elongation of rete ridges in a regular manner (Shegal et al. 2008). A patient is labeled to have psoriasiform dermatitis if he presents with ill to well defined erythematous scaly plaque irrespective of presence of Grattage sign e.g. when the scaling is not evident bleeding points can be induced by light tangential scratching with the edge of a glass slide (Metha et al. 2009). Psoriasiform dermatitis include psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis, pityriasis rubra pilaris, lichen simplex chronicus, atopic dermatitis, nummular dermatitis, pityriasis rosea, dermatophytosis and mycosis fungoides (Metha et al. 2009). The overall prevalence of psoriasis is about 1-3% in the world population. It can occur at any age, more commonly at the age of 15-35 years. Both sex and all races are equally affected.
