In too many instances the translators have been neither veterinarians nor teachers of veterinary medicine, and too few of them linguists. Furthermore, the books in this field have not been designed for undergraduate students, they are bulky, comprehensive works of reference of little pedagogic value, all of them have been superseded by newer editions in the original tongue.
