I am a person who's brain sometimes creates poetry and then demands that it is written down.
It is OK to hate it, criticise it, laugh at it, cry at it. It is OK to re-write it in your head. All of those things are good, because they create an emotional and possibly thoughtful response.
From my viewpoint of life, poetry is a raw conduit into my brain.
