The 53rd volume of the interdisciplinary journal contains eight papers dealing with the Early Mesolithic stag skull mask from Berlin-Biesdorf, the BA VI hoard of Golovenskoje/Willkühnen in East Prussia, excavations by Hubert Schmidt [1864-1933] on two tell settlements at Anau, Turkmenistan, Late Antique to Early Islamic Egyptian textiles in the Museum of Pre- and Protohistory, an Early Medieval jackknife from Pasym/Passenheim in Masuria, miniature horse figures of metal, wood or bark amongst the Early Medieval Slavs, Helmuth von Moltke in the Troad in A.D. 1837/8, and the "Project Petriplatz", a house of archaeology for Berlin.
