Excerpt from An Introduction the Comparative Grammar, of Greek and Latin
This book is in great measure an abridgment of our larger work, Tke Principles of Sound and [fz¿exz'on in Greek arza' Zaz'z'n, and is intended for the use Of junior students. It has been our object, avoiding all doubtful points, to give a clear statement of the main principles of the phonetics and morphology of Greek and Latin with adequate illustration. We have added a chapter on Comparative Syntax, for which we are chie¿y indebted to Delbriick's Sy¿mktz'se/ze Forsemmgen and Monro's Homeric Grammar.
