Excerpt from An Outline of the Law of Landlord and Tenant and of Land Purchase in Ireland: For the Use of StudentsIN this little work I have endeavoured to state the general principles and the main features of the Law of Landlord and Tenant in Ireland, and also to give a sketch of the provisions governing the purchase of land by occupying tenants by means of advances made by the State. I have done so as shortly and as simply as I could. To attain accuracy in a necessarily incomplete discussion of any legal subject is well nigh impossible, but to have gone minutely into detail would have defeated the object I had in view. The superabundance of decided cases and the intricacy and ill-considered drafting of many of the numerous Acts of Parliament relating to Irish land make it hard to give a clear and coherent statement upon this topic, an intimate and thorough knowledge of which is so important to every Irish lawyer.About the PublisherForgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
