If the record, as thus given, shall have the efiect, in any measure, to strengthen the hands, of the friend and brother Who is still battling for truth and right eousness, or to encourage others to live nobly and Victoriously, even under most adverse circum stances, my object and Wish in writing these pages will not have been in vain.
