Cell planning in GSM mobile system is one of the most important operations to be done before the system installation. It means studying the geographic area where the system is to be installed in detail. Cell planning including, capacity, coverage, and frequency planning are studied. In this book, designed calculation and considerations for GSM network are presented according to the capacity, coverage and frequency planning. From the study of the Sulaimani city in Kurdistan region GSM communication system, several problems, and deficiencies in the system were highlighted. The architecture that proposed for the regional GSM system network, adopts suitable for perfect and communication techniques, taking into account the requirements of real-time data, security, availability, expandability, and appropriate quality of service.
