Excerpt from Annual Report of the President of the National Kindergarten and Elementary College to the Board of Trustees and Governing Board: November 5, 1920The fall term opened September 10, 1919, with an enroll ment of 170 students. This number was increased at the beginning of the mid-year term, February 1, 1920, by the addi tion of 21 students. The summer session, June 21 to August 13, had a registration of 113, giving for the year a total of 304. Two hundred thirteen of this number were residents of the dormitories. These young women were representative of 29 states, including the far distant ones of California, Florida, Oregon, and New Mexico. There were two students from Canada, two from China, two preparing for work in Mexico and one missionary from Northern China who had been for many years in the work there. There were eight students in the classes in Supervision and Administration during the reg ular year, and nine in the Summer Session. All of these women were actively engaged in training work or preparing for positions of such a nature. Of the students enrolled during the academic year 43 had had one or more years of study in a College of Liberal Arts before beginning professional train ing and three were college graduates.About the PublisherForgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
