Encompassing six decades of extraordinary work, Avedon Fashion 1944-2000 includes more than 200 works by Richard Avedon, from vintage prints and magazine layouts to contact sheets and personal correspondence. Showing Avedon's groundbreaking early work for Harper's Bazaar, through his later career at Vogue, Egoiste, and The New Yorker, this volume represents a major retrospective of the photographer's work. Assembled by Carol Squiers, curator at the International Center of Photography, and photography critic Vince Aletti, Avedon Fashion will accompany an exhibition at the ICP.
