Bella Velez cannot catch a break. Her brief career on a successful cable cooking show ended, shall we say, badly. Then almost immediately after signing the lease for her new restaurant, her mother fell ill and Bella raced to Spain to nurse her back to health. Forced to orchestrate the creation of her beloved restaurant, Total, from Europe, she had to postpone her big opening plans until she could return to the U.S. right before Christmas. Ever since she was a little girl dreaming of being a chef, Bella had always wanted to run her very own elegant eatery in New York City. Finally, after all of the ups and downs, it seems those dreams are about to become a reality. Except for one glaring issue. The sweet little coffee shop that leased the space next door to her restaurant is no more. Replaced by a garish joint with neon signs serving barbecue sandwiches that simply do not align with Bella's vision. The owner, Mason Povich, is well-meaning, but unrefined. Something Bella could handle if he wasn't also distractingly good-looking. When Mason's little sandwich shop interferes with her grand opening, and Bella's annoying attraction to him causes her to make a major mistake, she decides that she cannot afford to let him into her life. Not now...and possibly not ever.
