Wie entwickeln sich berufliche Identität und berufliches Engagement in der Pflege? Für ihre Dissertation zu diesem Thema hat die Autorin über 500 Auszubildende, Gesundheits- und Krankenpflegerinnen aus Deutschland sowie Schweizer Pflegestudierende befragt. Weitere Impulse gab eine Gruppendiskussion mit Pflegenden mit langer Berufserfahrung. Frageschwerpunkte waren die Bereiche Ausprägung und Verlauf der Ausbildung sowie positive und negative Einflussfaktoren auf das berufliche Selbstverständnis der Befragten. Die Ergebnisse der Befragung wurden mit Befunden anderer Berufsausbildungen im dualen System verglichen. Aus den Ergebnissen entstehen Vorschläge zur Gestaltung der Pflegeausbildung und zur Entwicklung tragfähiger beruflicher Kompetenzen. Dabei berücksichtigt die Autorin die aktuelle Diskussion um Generalisierung, Akademisierung und die Einstiegsqualifikation in die Pflegeausbildung. How do the professional identity and professional commitment development within nursing? For her dissertation about this topic the author interviewed more than 500 trainees, occupational health workers and nurses in Germany as well as Swiss nursing students. Another stimulus was the group discussion with nurses who had longstanding professional experiences. The questions focussed on the areas design and process of the training as well as positive and negative factors of influence on the professional self-conception of interviewees. The results of the interviews were compared with findings from other professional education programmes. The results lead to recommendations relating to the design of the nursing training and the development of sustainable professional competences. Thereby, the author takes into consideration the current debate relating to generalisation, academisation and entrance qualifications for the nursing training.
