Sunfolk healer Gilwin travels to the coastal country of Carrow for a mysterious purpose he keeps close to his heart. There he finds himself caught up in the small country's fight for independence, led by an elusive rebel leader. Alongside a half-breed mercenary and a pair of diplomat daughters, they search for this notorious rebel leader. But the leader is far ahead of their plot. Their designs are thwarted at every turn, and the conflict keeps looming closer and closer. Running out of time they must decide if war is the only answer. If it is, it means all of Carrow will burn.
