Excerpt from Biographical Record: Theological Seminary, New Brunswick, 1784-1911 The names of the graduates of each year appear first. After a hori zontal line may be found the names of those who belonged to the class for a time but did not graduate from this Seminary. A few 'of these names are not in Corwin's Manual nor the annual catalogues, but are found in the Minutes of General Synod or the Matriculation Book of the Seminary. The asterisk indicates the names of those who have died. Those who graduated before 1850 are all so marked unless the com piler has knowledge to the contrary. After 1850, however, the asterisk is not placed by any name unless there is knowledge of the decease of its owner. In the statements of the pastorates, each charge is of the Reformed Church in America unless otherwise stated. Abbreviations have been avoided as far as possible. It is impossible that such a book as this should be either entirely complete or perfectly accurate. The compiler regrets its imperfection in both respects and earnestly requests all friends of the Seminary to send him corrections and additions which may be used in a future edition.
