Short sleep duration is a major risk factor for weight gain and obesity and has been supported by much evidence from the past studies. Fatigue caused by chronic partial sleep deprivation leads to decreased physical activity and increases the risk for weight gain. Both are having shorter sleep duration with average sleep duration of 7 hours per night and one-third sleeping less than 7 hours per night.4, 5 Televisions and smartphones which came into households as remarkable source of information and entertainment has robbed sleep time and voluntary sleep restriction
