Sheet music of 50 piano pieces to accompany the book and DVD 'Bournonville Ballet Technique'. Many of the pieces are also suitable for general class use.The music has been compiled and arranged by the Danish author and composer Knud Arne Jurgensen and the Danish dancer and teacher Vivi Flindt. Knud Arne Jurgensen studied ballet privately in Copenhagen and Paris before beginning his studies in Musicology and Dance History at the University of Copenhagen. On leaving the University he joined the staff of the Music Department of Copenhagen's Royal Library. A specialist in the study of Bournonville's production notes and notation system, Mr. Jurgensen has written and lectured extensiveley in Denmark and abroad.Vivi Flindt is a Danish dancer and teacher. She studied at the Royal Danish Ballet School, then joined the company, making her debut as Birgit Cullberg's Miss Julie in 1965 and being promoted to soloist in 1967. She married the choreographer and dancer Flemming Flindt in 1970 and created roles in several of his ballets.
