In January 1956, receipts from producers having bulk tanks represented only percent of the total in this group of markets. In 1960, bulk tank milk represented percent of total receipts from producers in these 51 markets.The number of bulk tanks, by size, was reported for 67 markets. Producers in these markets used a total of nearly 49 thousand tanks, most of which percent) had capacities of 200-399 gallons.
