In presenting the disorders of the clinic to students, the department of medicine should play the chief role, though there will be many diseases with which the surgeon is more familiar and therefore justify his presenting these matte-rs. Such teaching, however, ex cept for the field of trauma. And sepsis will be chie¿y diagnostic, and, though therapy may be suggested. There should be no time wasted on surgical technique and operations.
