Professor W. L. Schreiber, the author of the well known Manuel de l'amateur de la gravure sur bois, who has devoted his life to the investigation of the woodcuts of the 1591 century, has, during the course of many years, formed a collection which has no equal in private hands, as far as we know, and contains many important items which the greatest public institutes do not possess. Its richness has been known for many years by the notices in his Manuel, but the most important items have been revealed only late by two publications of Molsdorf: Woodcuts of the 15lh century in the Schreiber collection. With 22 facsimiles. Strassburg 1908 and The Dutch woodcut-passion Delbecq Schreiber. With 20 plates. Strassburg 1908.About the PublisherForgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
