The Thought is brought in where possible in every lesson. The literature lesson, as a rule, is entirely devoted to illustrating the Thought and the reading lesson, essay writing, naturally will bear upon it. In subjects such as geography, history, arith metic, it may or may not be possible to touch upon the Thought, but it depends very largely upon the teacher. If a teacher is really anxious to enforce a moral truth, the difficulty is not how to introduce it into the lessons, but how to make it a part of every lesson, without interfering unduly with the subject in hand, and how to instil the moral idea in the child's mind so that it stimulates his mind to action - sets it working and makes it the parent of kindred ideas.
