Mollie Schmidt, Ph.D. psychologist, family therapist, and mother of four has written a fine book informed byher rich life and experience. Based on her knowledgeof child development, her insight and empathy, the author has been able to write stories that convey, clearly and effectively, how children were able to dealwith challenging situations. These stories are useful for young people to readand learn about how others have handled serious issuessuch as bullying, prejudice, economic hardship, sexualabuse, and physical challenges, among others.
