Education within the church and within the family is the only way to change old patterns and smash cultural stereotypes. By reexamining God's message of love for all people through the lens of Scripture, Kathryn Goering Reid and Ken Hawkley's carefully planned curriculum "Children Together" will help the church teach children about inequality and discrimination and help children learn to value themselves and others for who they are.Age-appropriate lessons cover topics such as learning to work together, exploring individual potential, media and stereotypes, and sexual harassment. Each lesson includes a "take home" sheet that summarizes the lesson and provides family response activities to reinforce at home what the child has learned in class.
