Originally published in 1960, this classic biography tells the story of one of the Confederacy's youngest heroes. On seeing the artillerist in action at Fredericksburg, Robert E. Lee exclaimed, 'It is glorious to see such courage in one so young.' And according to Stonewall Jackson, 'With a Pelham on each flank I believe I could whip the world.' Shortly after the outbreak of hostilities in 1861, Cadet Pelham left West Point to join the Confederate forces.
