Conservation Technology Impact on Production of Rain-fed Sorghum
Angebote / Angebote:
Sorghum is ranked the fifth most important cereal after wheat, rice, maize and barley in the world. However, there is lack of information on response quantification of conservation tillage practices on soil moisture balance, energy use and economics under rain-fed conditions. The book is planned to quantify the response and interaction of tillage, land management practices and fertilizer levels on sorghum crop in order to develop best management practices under rain-fed conditions. The book dealt with three topics which are: the effect of soil moisture conservation technology and different levels of fertilizer on root-zone water balance and sorghum yield and energy consumption and economic analysis of rain-fed sorghum production under rain-fed conditions of Northern India. The book should help shed some light on the conservation technology of soil and water, and should be especially useful to professionals in agricultural researches, postgraduate students and agricultural decisions makers, modern farmers or anyone else who may be considering agriculture is the best solution for food scarcity.
