Excerpt from Cranberries, 1947-1949: The National Cranberry Magazine, Volumes 12-13New Jersey was chosen for the first nursery study of the seedlings, as false blossom spreads more rap idly there than ln the other states. This nursery was operated under an agreement between the U. S. Department of Agriculture, J. J. White, Inc., and the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station. The bog was about 5 acres in size and eventually was filled with seedlings. In addition, the part first set was cleared and replanted with seedlings during the study.About the PublisherForgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
