Dalli: The Dog with the Alligator Tail, follows Dalli as she navigates her first day of school with the one thing she loathes most-her big, purple alligator tail. With encouragement from her parents and her teacher, Ms. Brie, Dalli soon learns that true friends will embrace you for who you are and that your differences make you unique.
The night before school, Dalli wrestles with social anxiety, fearing that her new classmates won't want to befriend her because of her tail. Mom, Dad, and Ms. Brie all offer encouragement to Dalli. When her classmates courageously share their distinct traits, she sees all of the friends she has yet to make. When her classmates paint their tails purple, Dalli feels accepted and loved for who she is and finally finds happiness in going to school and spending time with friends.
