Section 34 of the Social Security Code Book V regulates the exclusion of pharmaceuticals in the statutory health insurance. According to that rule nonprescription medicines, pharmaceuticals for light diseases, pharmaceuticals that have the priority to increase the quality of life as well as uneconomical drugs are ex-cluded from the service catalogue of the statutory health insurance.
