Y: A ThesisIn the selection and preparation of this thesis, the authors have sought to secure one which would involve the solution Of as many different problems as possible: the idea has been not so much to plan, in general, some large water power development, but to work out in detail the problems connected with a small installation and to make a complete set of construction drawings for it. NO attempt has been made to design any of the electrical or hydraulic equipment of the plant as this would present a very large problem in itself, but these have been selected with care and reference to their fitness for the work which they are to do.
