Development of Signal Conditioning Interface for Impedance Biosensor

Angebote / Angebote:

In recent times, the interest in quality control of food, water, products for human use and anything that could have adverse effects on the environment or human health has increased considerably. Some rapid detection technique is necessary for that purpose. Presently, detection of biological elements electronically is an extensively researched domain. These types of electronic systems are designed for different types of applications. It can be employed for quantifying the concentration of virus or bacteria in pathological samples, detection of toxic elements present in foodstuff and also finding the presence of harmful contaminants in drinking water [1, 2, 3]. One of the best approaches is the development of electronic interface coupled with robust algorithms to analyze the response of an array of high performance biosensors. During the development of electronic interfaces for biosensors some essential criterions have been maintained. The systems should be made portable such that it can be used both for laboratory purpose and field testing. It should have an inbuilt power source and consume low power for prolonged operation. Further, these systems must be user friendly and affordable. Also, it should have the capability to offer a qualitative and quantitative assessment of test samples [4]. In this regard, two systems, namely "electronic nose (EN)" and "electronic tongue (ET)" have gained significant attention.
