It explores in turn philosophical, psychological and sociological approaches to educational theory and examines great thinkers such as Plato, Rousseau, Freud, Piaget, Durkheim and Mannheim. In doing so, it argues that answers to educational problems lie in a multi-disciplined and integrated approach.
