Excerpt from Early Times in RaleighCharles Parish informs his friends and the public that his tavern is now open for the reception of travellers and boarders in the new three story building north of the State House and fronting Union Square. The house is spacious, completely finished, and well furnished, and the stables equal to any. For a well supplied table (served from a neat and cleanly kitchen) luxuries of the rooms, beds, attendance, &c., , &c., , it is determined that this tavern shall excel any in the Southern States.W N. B.
