This represents a 46-percent increase in farm stocks. Acreage of the five major u.s. Oilseed crops in 1980 will total about 93 million, compared with million planted in 1979. A prospective drop in sunflower acreage will more than offset increased cotton plantings. Peanut, flaxseed, and soybean acreages are expected to be down slightly from the 1979 level. If the growing, season is normal, oilseed supplies likely will be record large, boosted by the heavy carryover of soybeans, sun¿owers, and cottonseed into the fall.
