The Fight of Your Life is the fight to believe and stand on the Word and possess the promises of God. We must put forth effort against the enemy resistance to believe, hold onto and keep hold of God's Word. That's why it is literally: "the fight of your life" we are called to believe THE WORD of God. If we are passive, we will fall prey to the lies of the enemy. We have to actively submit to God and to His Word, and resist Satan and his lies: "Therefore submit to God. RESIST the devil and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). We have to put forth effort in this spiritual battle. So we are in the middle of a BATTLE over our lives. On the one side stands the thief who wants to steal, kill and destroy. On the other side stands the Lord Jesus who want us to have an abundance of life. We stand in the middle and we choose between life or death. It is our choice - do we believe in Satan's lies and follow his ways (and receive his death), or do we believe in Jesus and follow His ways (and receive His life)? We must not be passive, but actively choose to believe in Jesus and His promises of life, and walk in His Word.
