Flora of Southeastern Washington and Adjacent Idaho

Angebote / Angebote:

FLORA OF SOUTHEASTERN WASHINGTON AND ADJACENT IDAHO by CHARLES V. PIPER AND R. KENT BEATTIE originally published in 1914. This region embraces the richest wheat lands of the Northwest. The area contains the deep black wheat soils covering most of the region, the extreme southern part of thr area includes the Blue Mountains, and the series of low mountains near the Washington-Idaho line, formed of metamorphic rocks, granite and quartzite. The principal rivers are the Snake and Spokane. The total flora of the region herein described consists of 20 Pteridophytes, 11 Gymnosperms, 270 Monocotyledons and 838 Dicotyledons. Some additions o this list may be expected along the western borders of the area. Many of the earliest books, particularly those dating back to the 1900s and before, are now extremely scarce and increasingly expensive. We are republishing these classic works in affordable, high quality, modern editions, using the original text and artwork.
