Excerpt from French Lessons and Exercises: To Be Used With Grandgent's Short French GrammarThese lessons and exercises are to be used, in schools, with my S/zort Frem'lz Grammar, during a first year's course in French. I mean to construct at least one more set of the same grade, in order that the work may be varied from year to year. There are a hundred lessons and twenty exercises - that is to say, materials for three recita tions a week during forty weeks. Classes that have French four times a week can use profitably a part or the whole of the extra hour in oral or written work based on their reading-book.
