The sunny weather and sandy beaches of Rescue Bay, Florida, are just what Olivia Linscott needs after leaving a bad relationship and a lousy job. Her late mother, a woman Olivia never knew, has left her an animal shelter that is as much of a shambles as Olivia's life. She just wants to retreat, rebuild, and rediscover herself.
Then a skittish and wounded Golden Retriever leads Olivia to her cranky next-door neighbor's yard.
