The Precambrian rocks represent 10% of the total exposed rocks in Egypt. The Precambrian rocks exposed in Eastern Desert in Egypt are composed of vast varieties of Pan-African basement rock types including metasediments, metavolcanics, gabbros, volcanics and different types of granitoid bodies.
